Supervisor, Shop Maintenance/Fleet
The Supervisor, Shop Maintenance/Fleet will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing functions and activities related to transportation, logistics, servicing, maintenance, and repair of all fleet vehicles, and procurement for fleet vehicles repairs, to ensure efficient repairs, servicing and maintenance of all fleet vehicles. Also, be responsible for managing the maintenance technicians and assistants to ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably, a degree in mechanics or a related field
Minimum 5 years supervising/coordinating equipment maintenance or transportation shop
Minimum 3 years of experience related to agriculture or manufacturing
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent Leadership and management skills with the ability to manage teams and resolve conflicts
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good budgeting and record-keeping abilities with a keen eye for details
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software and technology for maintenance shops
Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Team player and able to motivate other employees within the department
Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain all fleet vehicle asset records owned by the Company and ensure that all equipment is identified on the company asset registers and tracked
Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure proper disposal/transfer/additions are well documented so that the asset register is updated accordingly
Ensure that the coordinator closely monitors the progress for quality and timeliness on repairs and maintenance
Responsible for providing transportation services to the different departments’ equipment, Supply Chain logistics, and farming personnel. This service must be done by the recipient filling in the proper transport request.
Ensure that all the company’s heavy-duty equipment and light vehicles/equipment are annually insured and licensed on a timely basis in accordance with company policy and the Law of Belize
Manage, coordinate, and ensure that the equipment transportation services are provided in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
