Process Apprentice
The Process Apprentice will undergo structured on-the-job training to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the Processing Department, including but not limited to clarification, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, sugar drying/conditioning, and packaging.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate’s degree in sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Knowledge of industrial processes, mechanical systems, or chemical and food technology is a plus
Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes:
Excellent written & communication skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Excellent record keeping skills
Highly motivated
Team-oriented/possesses interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in an industrial (milling) environment (heat, noise & rotational shifts)
Strong willingness to learn, follow instructions, and develop technical skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist senior operators and the Shift Process Supervisor in the daily processing of equipment and systems (clarifiers, evaporators, crystallizers, centrifuges, etc.)
Monitor plant equipment performance and record process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates
Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for each stage of the process
Support process adjustments to maintain product quality and operational efficiency
Participate in regular training sessions covering process control, safety, and quality assurance
Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Supervisor
