Jr. Analyst – Core Sampling Operation
The Jr. Analyst- Core Sampling Operation will support the accurate sampling, analysis, and reporting of sugarcane quality by performing core sampling activities to generate reliable data for cane payment, process optimization, and overall factory efficiency. The incumbent conducts quality-parameter analyses on bagasse samples in accordance with documented laboratory procedures and prepares reports of results using the established format. Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
Basic knowledge of sugarcane quality parameters (preferred but not required)
0-2 years’ experience in a laboratory, agricultural, or industrial environment
Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with data and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
Good written and oral communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Willing work rotational shift work, nights, weekends, during crop season.
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced shift-based environment.
Willing to work in a plant environment, and exposed to dust, heat, noise and moving machinery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor core sampling equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
Receive shredded cane sample and separate 1kg for preparation
Press shredded cane to separate juice and bagasse for analysis.
Weigh bagasse obtained after pressing.
Deliver cane juice sample to Sr. Analyst.
Responsible for moisture analysis of bagasse.
Prepare cane samples for laboratory analysis, including shredding, mixing, and sub-sampling.
Perform basic laboratory tests, worksheets, and record results accurately in data systems in a timely manner.
