Fuel Attendant

The Fuel Attendant will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accountable dispensing of fuel and lubricants to BSI’s vehicles, agricultural machinery, and equipment.  This role ensures accurate record-keeping of fuel usage, proper maintenance of the fuel station and equipment, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. It also requires strong customer service skills, physical fitness to stand for long periods and work in various weather and field conditions.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in handling fuel or related mechanical/maintenance role

  • Valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record

 Skills and Competencies:  

  • Basic knowledge of fuel types, safety procedures, and inventory recording

  • Commitment to excellence and ambitious standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service

  • Attention to details and accuracy with basic mechanical aptitude

  • Dependable and reliable, with a keen sense of responsibility and integrity

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and able to lift, carry and load items weighing 30 pounds

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills always display a positive image in all areas of communication, demeanor, listening, speaking, comprehension, delivery, and team spirit

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate daily records of all fuel and lubricants issues, receipts, balances, and perform daily reconciliation

  • Monitor fuel levels and report shortages or irregularities promptly to your supervisor 

  • Conduct routine checks on fuel pumps, storage tanks, and dispensing equipment to ensure proper operation

  • Place order for fuel and lubricants as needed, and assist in receiving supplier deliveries while confirming quantities and quality

  • Maintain updated logbook and submit fuel reports to the supervisor daily or as required

  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Supervisor
