Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be tasked with providing proficient electrical services to the Mill and Power Plant areas, while working collaboratively with the respective management teams to deliver essential technical services. This collaboration is intended to ensure safe and efficient operations across all areas of the Mill and Plant, in strict adherence to the Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies. Additionally, this role will involve the development and training of a competent workforce.

 Qualifications and Experience:

· A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field is required

· 5 years in a position of comparable responsibility within a Mill or Power Plant

 Skills and Competencies:  

· Demonstrated capability to supervise and manage a technical workforce effectively. 

· Proficient technical problem-solving abilities. 

· Competence in organizing and motivating team members. 

· Willingness to work flexible hours as required, which may include after working hours, weekends, and Public and Bank Holidays. 

· Proven ability to collaborate as part of a team. 

· Skillful in delegating tasks efficiently. 

 Roles and Responsibilities:

· Provide effective assistance in the planning of maintenance activities for both off-crop and in-crop periods

· Develop electrical distribution systems for industrial applications using recognized industry standards and specifications. This will include the design and development electrical installation drawings for compliance with all company installations requirements.

· Select, specify, and design the installation of control element devices for Variable Frquency Drives and soft starter to manipulate flows, energy, positions, speeds, and other variables. Additionally, engage in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical equipment to enhance the reliability of field devices.

· Assist in the planning and design of project works, ensuring the thorough preparation and submission of comprehensive scope of works

· Implement personnel development programs and training initiatives for the Electrical team members

· Actively engage in the development of projects related to both the Mill and Power Plant
