Bulk Logistics Driver

The Bulk Logistics Driver is responsible for loading sugar, molasses and maintenance of equipment, whilst participating in skills development training, further contributing to the seamless operations of the Bulk Logistics Team. The Driver's commitment to punctuality, safety, and efficient transportation is integral to the overall success of our operations.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with trucks and trailers

  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) [Class A/B, depending on vehicle type].

  • No accident on record within the past 5 years

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Able to work flexible hours (shifts, weekends & holidays)

  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety rules

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment’s and work long hours, as needed

  • Above average computer and internet literacy

  • Demonstrates expertise in operating various vehicles, including cars and PIV’s.  

  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong commitment to adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations

  • A keen sense of responsibility for the well-being of wider public and materials during transportation

  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Belize

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Capability to handle materials efficiently, ensuring secure transport to and from the factory.

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, including regular cleaning and reporting any issues promptly.

  • Effective time management skills to ensure on-time arrivals and departures, contributing to overall operational efficiency

  • Safely operate and maintain truck-trailer combinations, ensuring compliance with all DOT & Company regulations.

  • Efficiently handle the transportation of materials within different districts, contributing to the seamless flow of operations and timely deliveries.

  • Take responsibility for the cleanliness and upkeep of all assigned vehicles, conducting regular inspections and promptly addressing and reporting any maintenance requirements to ensure optimal performance.

  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to guarantee the well-being of personnel, equipment and goods.

  • Demonstrate flexibility by handling any additional duties assigned, showcasing a willingness to contribute to the overall efficiency of operations beyond transportation services.

  • Adhere to EHS and GMP+ policies.

  • Any other task assigned from time to time
