Mill Utility

The Mill Utility is responsible for monitoring the overall Milling operations and assisting the Mill Technician for the flow of milling station operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

· High School Diploma or ITVET/ Vocational Certificate

· Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the sugar cane milling operations

· Willing to work shift, holidays, and on weekends

· Self-motivated

· Excellent work ethic

· Analytical Thinking

· Team-Oriented

· Ability to work in indoor/outdoor working conditions, manual labor & heavy lifting

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Ensure that all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures are strictly adhered to when working with equipment

· Ensure that proper hydraulic pressures are always applied to the milling tandem

· Liaise with the Mill Technician on shift for resolution of problems which may arise during the operations

· Ensure mills are washed and de-trashed on stop days

· All juice tanks are flushed and made ready for start-up

· Complete tasks in accordance with all company Environmental, Health, and Safety guidelines, rules, and regulations

· Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor
