Health & Safety Coordinator

The Health & Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with all regulatory, corporate, and site-specific safety requirements across agriculture and industrial operations. This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company’s Safety Management Systems and drives continuous improvement in workplace health, safety, and welfare culture.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Engineering or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or science-related field

  • 2–3 years’ relevant experience in H&S coordination or industrial operations is preferred

  • Or an Associate’s Degree in a science-related field with 5 years’ experience in H&S coordination or industrial operations

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and lead safety initiatives across diverse teams

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reporting software

  • Ability to work in a field/industrial environment

  • Attention to accuracy, details, and data integrity with strong organizational skills

  • Proactive leadership in fostering a safety culture

  • Commitment to ethical practices and integrity in safety management

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s Safety Management system.

  • Conduct safety induction and orientation for new employees, contractors, and visitors and conduct site-specific/corporate-required training.

  • Conduct routine workplace inspections and hazard assessments across agriculture and industrial operations.

  • Record, investigate, and report workplace accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.

  • Coordinate emergency drill (fire, evacuation, spill response) and document outcomes and improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare weekly/monthly EHS reports and statistics (accident rates, training status, inspections).

  • Guide, mentor, and support laboratory technicians in daily tasks.

  • Participation and presentation in EHS committees and meetings.
